After doing research on how to generate more traffic i have come across tons of methods. One that I have just started to try is posting to forums.? When it comes to forums apparently Digital Point Forums is the king of all forums. At least in the website marketing, seo, and web design niche it is.? I have only been browsing the forum for a couple hours now but I can see how beneficial this can possibly be.? Not only is there a plethora of knowledge to be gained, but through signature links and branding opportunities you can easily promote your site or cause. If you are a webmaster or want to promote your site or blog I highly suggest creating a Digital Point Forum account. Keep in mind this is not the only forum that should keep your attention, find as many forums in your topic area (niche) and post helpful and or quality posts to build a reputation and drive more traffic to your website.

microsoft-windows-xp-300 Xp No More :(As of today Microsoft has ordered the halt of all Windows XP sales. There are a lot of consumers that do not want to be forced to use XP’s successor Windows Vista. Now users will have to purchase Vista and legally downgrade to Windows XP.

Microsoft will provide full support for the 6 year old operating system up until 2009 and limited support until 2014.

There is still a beckon of hope for all the XP fans out there, Microsoft will still allow smaller retail stores to sell XP through the end of January. Get them while they last!

Ok, well today turned out to be a great day, Technology Current pulled in$4.99 today, and it’s only 8 PM.. could potentially increase. For the past two weeks my blog has made a consistent 1 to 2 dollars a day… and I was happy with that, after a month of seeing plenty of $0 profit days 2 dollars seems like a fortune lol.

You may also noticed that I removed Adsense from this blog… It may come back but not any time soon. I visit and edit my blogs a lot, and I was adding too many page impressions and messing up my CTR. Specially since this site probably averages 1 visitor a day lol. I also applied to NeverBlue Ads today we’ll see what happends with that.

And finally I was browsing ProBlogger.net today and found out that they have a lot of blogger job opportunities in their job board. It looks like i might be writing for a new blog called TheMovieSpace.com.

blog-comments-300x249 Top Commenters Incentive

Part of what makes a blog a blog is the interaction and communication between the blogger (me) and the readers (you)! Although I have yet to attract any readers I’m sure after some more hard work and patience that time will come. Now other than wanting to chat with others about subject they love, why else would anyone want to comment? Well one reason are linkbacks. With the Top Commenter Widget readers who participate frequently are rewarded with free publicity and links! I notice that when I come across blog of interest that have a Top Commenter section I feel more inclined to leave a couple comments. Now don’t get this twisted with spamming comments like “Great post!” or “Thanks” and a link to your blog all over peoples pages… that is highly frowned upon and might get you banned from commenting and or the Top Commenter Widget.

With that being said, I hope to see some commenting around here at Finance Current.com I long for the day I’ll be able to spend most of my time blogging, reading comments from my followers!!! Make my dreams come true haha…

hulutm_355_square300 Hulu First impression of this amazing website was incredible. Today I was searching online for some streaming videos, and came across Hulu.com.

Hulu is a massive streaming video provider that updates it’s contents daily. It is very hard to find a streaming video provider that is 100% legal. But with the use of minimal commercials they are able to legally host and stream copyrighted video. I came across this press release information about the company.

Hulu.com Opens to Public, Offers Free Streams of Hit TV Shows, Movies and
Clips from More Than 50 Providers Including FOX, NBC Universal, Metro-
Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. and Sony Pictures Television

Company Announces New Licensing Deals with the Warner Bros. Television Group, Lionsgate, NBA, NHL and More

LOS ANGELES - March 12, 2008- Hulu, an online video service, today announced the public launch of its Web site, Hulu.com (http://www.hulu.com/). Beginning today, consumers in the U.S. can go to Hulu.com to watch a large selection of hit TV shows, movies, clips and more in high-quality ? anytime, for free. In addition, Hulu announced new content partnerships with the Warner Bros. Television Group, Lionsgate, NBA, NHL and more than 20 other top content providers. New content additions to Hulu?s library will include: feature films like The Usual Suspects and Ice Age, shows like Dirt, The Incredible Hulk, Babylon 5, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and The Dick Van Dyke Show, nightly highlights, top plays and full-length games from the NBA and the NHL, popular made for web programming such as Prom Queen and Onion News Network, and much more.

On Hulu.com, consumers can enjoy one of the largest selections of legal, free videos from more than 50 top broadcast networks, cable networks, movie studios and web-centric content providers. Hulu?s library offers full-length episodes from more than 250 TV series - from current hits like The Simpsons, The Office and Prison Break to classics like Arrested Development, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Miami Vice. In addition, Hulu offers 100 full-length feature films such as The Big Lebowski, Me, Myself & Irene, Some Like It Hot, Mulholland Drive and Three Amigos!. Hulu also provides short clips from 150 more TV series like Saturday Night Live and In Living Color as well as 50 additional films such as Napoleon Dynamite, Little Miss Sunshine, Die Hard, Vertigo, and The Mummy.

?Today, Hulu is crossing a milestone in its mission to help people find and enjoy the world?s premium content, when where and how they want it,? said Jason Kilar, chief executive officer of Hulu. ?With full-length episodes of current and archived television shows, feature films, sports and news, we believe the Hulu service is a step forward in giving consumers entertainment on their terms.?

?Hulu helps fans find great content wherever they are online,? said Peter Chernin, president and chief operating officer, News Corporation. ?With tools that make sharing easy, Hulu encourages viral distribution. At the same time, Hulu?s distribution partners are some of the most visited on the Web, engaging consumers where they are already spending their time. This is a powerful combination.?

?Hulu.com?s impressive content line up and user experience are equally important in bringing consumers back again and again,? said Jeff Zucker, president and chief executive officer, NBC Universal. ?These are the same attributes that make Hulu attractive to major brands. Both groups see the value in a quality, clutter-free online service.?

The Hulu.com Web site was created to bring together the widest selection of premium video with an elegant, easy-to-use interface. Focused on the video viewing experience, Hulu.com streams videos in high-quality and offers additional tools to enhance the viewing experience, including full-screen view, a pop-out window, a ?lower lights? feature and much more. Hulu.com offers features that enable users to easily clip, share and embed videos on other Web sites, including blogs and social networking sites. Additionally, Hulu.com?s search feature also helps users to find legal, premium video online even if it is not directly available on Hulu.com.

Hulu.com has been in private beta since October 2007. The response from users during the 18 week test period has exceeded expectations. Over 5 million viewers have watched videos in the past 30 days via Hulu.com or its extensive distribution network. This network includes Hulu?s partner sites (AOL, Comcast’s Fancast.com, MSN, MySpace and Yahoo!) and other Web sites where users have embedded Hulu videos. During this beta period, more than 50,000 Hulu video players have been embedded on nearly 6,000 sites across the Web. Additionally, Hulu has more than quadrupled the number of show and movie titles in its library since private beta testing began.

Hulu gives advertisers the opportunity to connect their brands with premium content online, interact with highly engaged consumers and extend their reach via Hulu?s broad distribution network. Additionally, Hulu offers and is committed to the continued development of new and innovative online advertising experiences. Hulu has received positive feedback from the advertising community and is renewing many of Hulu?s charter advertisers since the beta period. Currently, Hulu advertisers include: Best Buy, Chili?s, DirecTV, GM, Intel, Nissan, State Farm, Unilever, Wal-Mart and others.

Another great way to gain site exposure is to add your website to many site directories. There are also blog specific directories. And after that you can go back and add your RSS feed to RSS directories!! Yay how much fun! If you don’t want to spend all your time manually submitting your site, there are services which will do this for you, some are free and others aren’t. I personally sign up for a free month of iSubmit every time I make a new site and let them do the work. Here is a list compiled by the good folks over at TopRankBlog.com. I plan on adding Finance Current to most if not all of them…

When ever I get depressed, or should I say impatient with my internet earnings I tend to find something to smile about. This time it happends to be the fact that Technology Current’s Alexa rank broke the 1 million mark recently. #963,699 to be exact, this might not be a very good ranking, but I’ve come along way from hovering around 3 million I think it was.

I recently submitted Finance Current to Alexa so hopefully this blog will move quickly up the rankings.

As for more positive news, my Google Adsense earnings have been growing pretty consistently.? For the first time ever I’ve gone a full two weeks with no $0.00 earning days!!! Although one day I earned about 5 cents, every little bit helps. I’ve noticed my page views dropping though? They have fallen from averaging about 150 a day to to closer to 100 :( Hopefully it is just a phase. I’ll be sure to keep posting and updating anyone who cares about my journey.

P.s. Kontera in-text advertising has brought no earnings for the past two days, maybe google is getting all the clicks?

I went to see Wanted the movie late last night! On my way to the theater one of my friends called me and her had just left the movie with his girl. He told me it was one of the best movies he’s ever seen lol. So you can imagine I was excited… and although it was not the best movie I’ve ever seen it is amazing. Once you get past the part fact that it is supposed to be fake, the action in just credible. Special effects and story line are all great, if you haven’t seen it yet, I suggest you buy yourself a senior citizen ticket at the electronic booth and save yourself a couple bucks and go enjoy a great action packed movie!!!

Well it is 2:52 AM on the east coast and I just got in from watching Wanted (great movie by the way) and i logged on to my google adsense account to see if I got any clicks today. Today’s earnings was only $1.83 but that’s a good day for me! And what makes it even better is that it pushed me over the $100 threshold. Even though I wont see a check until near the end of July, it’s nice to know i have some extra cash on the way. Now my next goal is to try and make $100 in the span of one month. If I can achieve that, coupled with my growing eHow earnings hopefully I’ll be pulling in at least $200 monthly by the end of summer. If you want to help in my quest visit back regularly. If you have any site that you think may interest me let me know and I’ll be sure to show you some love ;)
adsense Total Earnings $101.23
