Yesterday my cousin was in town from Las Vegas, we went out for a night on the town in D.C.
Our final stop was the ESPN Zone. After a great meal, which included watching sports on about 20 different televisions, we went downstairs to the arcade! This is where the technology come in 
My list of favorite arcade games that the ESPN Zone has to offer goes as follows;
Hydro Thunder- I almost spent all the money on my game card playing 10 games of Hydro Thunder back to back to back. This speed boat racing game is highly addictive. They have special stages to unlock as you continue to play and spend money lol, but it is very worth it, should I become wealthy enough to ever buy an arcade game for my house, Hydro Thunder is first on my list!!!
Virtual Boxing- This virtual boxing station was amazingly tiring. You stand on this pad and fight against an opponent on the screen. The sensors capture your movements which allow you to duck and dodge attacks. They even have a calorie burn counter on the screen. I worked up a nice sweat… even though my 3rd opponent knocked me out 3 times!!!
NFL Blitz 2000- The most unrealistic football game ever created, but sooo much fun! All of the players look like massive body builders, ripped and cut to the core. Although you have to pay for every quarter of game time separately, it worth it to see these freaks of nature pick up and slam opposing players to the ground instead of tackling them. All the defensive player are about twice as fast as the offense and after the play ends you can always catch some cheap shots happening in the background. It is just a fun enjoyable game that take you out of the realm of the very realistic Madden type games. Here is a clip of a great NFL Blitz 2000 touchdown
Caution: If you find yourself at the ESPN Zone don;t was your money on Cruisin’ Exotica, It basically a bunch of matchbox cars moving across a screen… not worth it!
