MegaMeeting is very easy to log in to, the software is very responsive and video displays very little to latency even with the maximum of 16 users in the conference. The video servers which MegaMeeting use handle the usage load very effectively also holding up well under the stress of multiple observers. VoIP quality is decent although not perfect; it is very good considering it is matched with excellent video software. Voice transmission was almost instant with very little latency; there was very little interference or “breaking up” in the voice however the voice also sounds a little flat, similar to using a cellular phone. The software worked seemingly flawless on Mac OSX, Linux (Fedora Core) and Windows 7. No software installation was required and the initial loading time on first use was only a minute or two. After the first use the web based software stayed cached allowing a second usage to be even better with only a few seconds of start up time. When additional users joined the customer there was no lag or delay however when multiple observers joined at the same time after the 16 participants logged in the software did delay slightly but only for a second and then resumed to normal with no further glitches.
