Ford adapts Sync to create myFord Touch driver interface.
Ford has just announced the release of the myFord Touch Driver Interface for some of its newer cars. In 2012, it will come with the Ford Focus. This system has a touch screen device where you can listen to Pandora radio and you can also use Twitter. The system will interact with your mobile device that you can have sitting in the car beside you via bluetooth.
You can tell the system using your voice which stations you would like to play and tell them if you are liking that particular radio station. The system will play songs that you like depending on what you tell the system. There is a good voice recognition system available. There is a touch screen on board where you can control all of the different options and you can even change the temperature of the interior of the car. There are USB ports where you can plug in USB devices such as the Ipod. There are also audio and video inputs if you would like to have a DVD playing.
Memory cards can be put into the system also through an SD slot. There is a button that you can push on the steering wheel and then issue a voice command. You can change the radio station that you are listening to with this feature. The radio will then read that information to you through the stereo system. You will hear a voice reading the name of the station to you. There is also a skip button where you can skip to the next song if you would like to. The graphics displays are in full color. There is a thumbs up voice command that you can use if you would like the Pandora radio station to keep playing songs that are similar to the ones that you like.
