The iPhone clones are amazing little phones. They’ve taken what is awesome about the iPhone (the finger touch screen, the ability to surf the web, play music and video and take photos) and have greatly improved upon it.

The clone manufacturers listened to consumers who were frustrated by iPhone’s lack of a removable battery or the ability to use a carrier besides AT&T, which is pretty expensive.

In response, they addressed these issues by making all of the phones unlocked, allowing for a removable battery, adding more surround sound speakers, and making the phones dual sim. Dual sim is perhaps the most popular feature because it allows you to have two phone numbers or plans within one phone. No longer do you need to carry around two phones.

But most of the clones are not really built for texters as there is no real keyboard on the phone. Enter the N99i or as it sometimes called the Nokia N99i. This phone is really part iPhone clone and part Blackberry Pearl. It has all of the cool iClone features and it has a nice, compact but very user friendly key pad on the front of the phone. It also has handwriting recognition. By far, this is the most text friendly of the iPhone clones and in recent weeks it has become quite popular.

The N99i is also among the most competitively priced of the iClones. If you know where to look, you can often get it starting at about $100. Considering that its technology combines the best features from CECT and Rimm, this is quite competitive, not even factoring in the AT&T savings. So, if you’re looking for the latest technology, but you want advanced texting features as well, consider giving the N99i a look.

Yea, I would assume it’s a driver problem, is there a way you can download what you need online? I find myself searching for drivers online often these days.
