PS3 Motion Controller & Microsoft’s Project Natal
When the Nintendo Wii came out a couple of years back it had the motion sensor with it. It would track your movements and translate that in to geek language so you could see your movements on your TV. That was something that was not done before by any of the game system makers. Yet Sony and Microsoft have not yet released anything that is remotely similar for their own game systems.Sony announced last year that it was working on a Motion sensor for the PS3 and that it would be available in the spring of 2010. However they have now issued a statement saying that the launch has been postponed for another 6 months. So the Motion Controller will be released in the fall of this year. As the Sony CEO said that they then can offer a variety of games that can work with the motion controller. This means that it will go against Microsoft?s Project Natal that also will be released just in time for the 2010 holiday season.
The name of the motion controller for the PS3 has no name yet. Various names like ?Gem?, ?Arc? and even ?sno cone? have been circulating over the Internet yet Sony has not released its official name yet.
Project Natal, that is the project name for Microsoft?s Motion controller, is according to Microsoft, right on time for the holiday season and that is more then just a motion controller. They say it will change the way you use your computer and your Xbox 360. However, as of now, it will be only used for the Xbox 360 system. There is no word on how it would be able to be connected to your PC. What Project Natal does have over the PS3 one is that it uses voice recognition.
