n78-and-n82-black Nokia N78 Vs Nokia N83

At first glance, there are a lot of similarities of the Nokia N78 with the N83. Although there are major differences in terms of the positioning of the keys and their textures, you will definitely notice the similarities immediately. Here they are:

1. The likeness is probably brought by the combination of some N-series phones in terms of design. Its black finish is comparable to N81 and the patterned back is similar with that of the N82. The N78 unit comes in three colors but the colors do not give major changes on how the phone looks. Unlike the N82, the N78’s speakers are placed on the opposite sides of the phone’s casing.

2. Its display is approximating with the N82 as well. It is bright which makes the images on the display visible in varying environment. N78’s screen displays up to 14-line text depending on the mode used. It can also show 3 service lines, at most. All the applied fonts are easy on the eye.

3. You will also see great resemblance on this unit’s keypad and the keypads on some of the N-series. Aside from that, the N78 has a NavyWheel. The NavyWheel allows the user to navigate through the different applications of the phone by sliding a finger through it.

4. The keys also have a breathing mode. It is a white indicator that tells the user of the device’s activity. The user can disable it if he is not comfortable with the feature. The white lights of the pads make it very visible, contrasting with the case’s color. The light has a sensor that automatically adjusts depending on the environment it is in.

5. The handset has a sleek design that conforms to the N-series line of sophisticated phones. It is simply elegant. It is fascinating how a simple looking device would have so many uses and functions.

cect_e689_9_4-300x225 CECT E689 Tri Sim iPhone Clone At the time, dual sim iClone cell phones seemed unbelievably innovative. Inspired by iPhone technology, these clones took what was wonderful about the iPhone and improved upon it by:

1. offering consumers two cell phone numbers or plans within one phone via two sim cards;

2. offering an unlocked phone which could be used with any mobile carrier; and

3. allowing consumers to remove the phone\’s battery without having to depend on or pay the manufacturer for this basic maintenance.

Of all of the improvements in the clones, the dual sim feature is what consumers liked most, so much so that many began to ask if it were possible to fit three sim slots into an iPhone clone.

The answer, as evidenced by the new CECT E689 tri sim clone, is a resounding yes. The E689 has everything that you love about the iClones (web browsing, MP3/ MP4 and camera capabilities) but it has added an additional sim slot to make it a total of three. Now it’s possible to have one phone for business, one for personal or leisure time and one for emergencies or a spare venture.

Additionally, the E689 has added a small keypad at the base of the phone which will appeal to texters. In this respect, the E689 is comparable to the N99i or the Nokia N99i as it is sometimes called as it combines all of the iClone features with advanced texting capabilities.

Price wise, the CECT tri sim is pretty competitive, starting at about $150, depending on where you buy it. Considering this phone has the latest technology available, that price seems pretty attractive, especially when you factor in AT&T savings.

j110-300x226 Sony Ericsson J110 - Pay as you goThere’s a growing trend happening, that’s been kind of sneaking up on us for a few months. As the top-end mobile phones are getting more and more complex (and, it has to be said, more expensive), there’s a growing desire amongst the buying public for cheaper mobile phones. Which is where the Sony Ericsson J110, the king of cheap phones, comes in!

Pay as you go mobile phones - people want it cheap

It might seem like an obvious thing to say, but even people who want top-end mobile phones want them as cheap as possible (unless you’re an iPhone nut, then you seem to inexplicably want to pay a LOT more than you should). But right down the other end of the market are people who don’t want an ostentatious phone, who don’t want the latest all-singing, all-dancing gadget. And if you’re one of those people, then good on ya, because I’m on your side. Sometimes, you don’t need a phone to be an internet device, or a music player, or a camera. Sometimes, you just need a phone.

The other good part about pay as you go mobile phones is the way you use them. You don’t have a contract to sign up to, you just pay as you go (so, really, the clue’s in the name…) Ok, you maybe don’t get the free minutes and texts that you do on a contract, but you can keep a tight grip on your spending, and co0ntrol exactly how much you spend on your phone. Of course, if budget is a big concern, then pay as you go is the ideal solution. But what about the ideal phone?

Step forward, the Sony Ericsson J110 - super-cheap, super-cheerful

There’s just something inherently lovable about the Sony Ericsson J110. It has a really cute shell, and just feels lovely to hold and use. However, you’ll notice something when you do hold it, which is that it doesn’t have a camera. And then you’ll turn it on, and realise it doesn’t have a music player. Or the internet. Or instant messaging, or video, or any features at all, other than 2 games (which are veeeeeeeeery simple) and a colour screen. And that’s it. But that, my friends, is the beauty of it. It’s not meant to be a feature-rich mobile phone. It’s designed to do calls and texts, to have a clock with an alarm, and, erm, that’s it.

That’s why it takes the crown as the undisputed king of cheap pay as you go mobile phones. Other phones will try to squeeze in an FM radio, or give you a compromise, by letting you look at pictures, or download ringtones. This doesn’t. Sony Ericsson have removed any trace of frippery from it, to make it into the ultimate lean, mean, calling machine. Put simply, it’s a phone, it’s nothing but a phone, and it never wants to be anything but a phone. And if that’s the phone you want, the J110 is THE perfect mobile phone for you. Available on many networks, including O2, Orange and Virgin Mobile.

Expert on mobile phones and mobile broadband, having worked in the industry for over 7 years.

lg-u8130 A Review of the LG U8130 3G Cell PhoneWhile the LG U8130 3G may seem like a rather unassuming cell phone, make no mistake about it: it’s as technologically advanced as anything that LG, or just about any other cell phone manufacturer, has on the market today. This sleek, slim, silver cell phone has all the bells and whistles consumers have come to expect, plus a whole lot more.

Not only does the 24 millimeter thick LG U8130 3G have a mono color 96 x 64 pixel external LCD screen, but it’s complemented nicely by the massive 176 x 220 pixel, 65,000 color TFT display. Users can change the backlight of the external screen to just about any color under the sun, and the internal screen is perfect for watching videos.

That’s right, with the U8130, users can record and watch videos to their heart’s content. The videos can be recorded with the 180 degree rotating digital camera or downloaded from a PC or the internet. Since the phone can connect to the web, owners can watch sports, check stock options and stay up to date on the weather reports.

The video telephony feature allows users to view the person they’re talking to on the phone’s internal screen, in real time. Moreover, if the person on the other end of the phone has a similarly enabled phone, the camera enables him or her to see the user as well.

The LG U8130 3G will get rid of the need for users to have a separate portable music player, as it has a built in MP3 player. Since the phone supports both MP3 and AAC file formats, there’s no need to worry about converting any of the files to make them compatible. Phone, video camcorder, digital camera, video player, the U8130 has so much to offer (and at a very reasonable price!).

Among the more robust web-ready phones we find the Blackberry line, there have been several models designed to provide easy access to multimedia files, text messaging and the web, a good example is the recently launched Blackberry 8820. This is said to be the very first Blackberry which has Wi-Fi capabilities which makes it a very convenient mobile phone for business people. It also has a built in GPS system along with support for T-Mobile?s Hotspot @ HomeSM. The physical appearance of this mobile phone is quite stylish, it features a midnight blue finish which is greatly coupled with a thin look.

The 8820 is basically the 8800 which is a business blackberry with the WiFi feature added, however it is said that the Wifi doesn?t help that much, the WiFi is very easy to setup using the built-in wizard and it can be used on many networks including VPN and WA protected networks but since the Blackberry system is so nicely optimized for slower networks you won?t fell much of a boost in speed if you are reading your emails or browsing the web.

The 8820 features a sculpted keyboard which is easy to use during web browsing or text messaging. This blackberry version doesn?t have a built in camera which helps it keep it?s thin look, some business owners might consider this a disadvantage if their business requires some sort of visual record keeping that can be accomplished by using a camera.

This device also features a built-in media player which is capable of playing back music formats such as MP3, AAC and WMA, it has a powerful HTML web browser. There is no Bluetooth audio in the 8820 however it wasn?t intended to have such feature because it is aimed mostly at business owners who try to get their email messages and stock quotes in places where it is not common to find a web service.

As far as navigation, the 8820 supports Blackberry maps which is always a plus for people who are constantly traveling to new places within the US, it also features a TeleNav GPS Audible navigator which can provide turn by turn instructions while driving to a certain place.

Overall, this is a very solid version of the Blackberry 8800 with added Wi-Fi capability which is mostly intended for business use, those who want more out of their Blackberry should check the 8320 model which has a built in 2 megapixel camera as well as all of the features found in the 8820.
